Didn't you love Betty White's Superbowl commercial? The 88-year-old dynamo is definitely my hero. Our favorite Golden Girl is making a golden comeback! Have you guys been following it? Thanks to a Facebook campaign she's poised to host Saturday Night Live on May 8.
And did you also see her interview on Oprah yesterday? She says the Saturday Night Live movement took her by surprise. "First of all, it's a young people's show, and it's all the young humor and stuff. And I'm a little past that—just a little," she says. "I think they've lost their minds if they have an 88-year-old woman doing the show. But what do they know?"
And on what she'd like to do next?
"My answer is always ... Robert Redford," she says. "Bless his dear heart, he's heard me take his name in vain for decades. And he wrote me a very sweet congratulation note when I got the Lifetime Achievement Award from [the Screen Actors Guild]. I was thrilled. I haven't stopped ringing his doorbell since."
How amazing, hilarious and inspiring is she?
P.S. Can't wait to catch her new sitcom Hot In Cleveland in June on TV Land too! xoxo
