Peek Inside: My to-do lists!

After all the lovely comments on our holiday decorations, I'd love to start a new feature called Peek Inside, a fun, up-close-and-personal look at my everyday life. What do you think?

First up: Do you keep to-do lists, friends? John Lennon's to-do list has been making its way around the blogosphere, and it got me thinking about my own, which I'd love to share with you today (Note: Beware of catching my OCD bug!)...
I have a regular to-do list that I keep in a small pink planner. I carry it with me, so I can always write down anything that comes to mind before I forget.
And then recently, I've developed a "running to-do list" to help me organize and structure my days. It's so easy to get sidetracked (read: Twitter) when you don't have a 9-to-5 job calling your name, so it's important to keep to a schedule.
And another way I keep to a schedule: Storyboarding my blog posts every week in that handy-dandy pink planner. Is it odd that I look forward to this little ritual every week?

P.S. What else would you like a Peek Inside of? Feel free to leave a comment below or email me at mellow1422 (at) aol...

So tell me, friends, what sorts of to-do lists do you keep? Or do you not keep one? Do you write them on scraps of paper, do you have an obsessively organized planner? Let's chat! xoxo

I'm excited for your Peek Inside column! I am really big on to-do lists. I have a planner that I write in to keep track of things due for the week, but also write daily to-do lists.

Thanks, mai! xoxo

So fun! :)

My lists usually involve cleaning and they're on scraps of paper that end up cluttering the house later LOL! I need an organizer. ;)

what a great idea to keep organized... i'm terrible at my daily organization... if you want your home to be organized or your cubbords... i'm the girl to ask... but other than that,,, i'm terrible!!

YES! I keep a daily to-do list, too. I need as much structure as possible. The list helps me stay centered as well as remember important things. Love this idea, Melissa!

Yayyyy for to-do-listers!! Is that even a word? ;)

oh i am SO a to-do lister. i make to do lists more than is probably normal for a sane person. I always put three circles next to each item and when i've started a task I fill in one circle and that way i feel like I get credit if i start something. It makes me feel a little better about my never ending lists that can be overwhelming. :)

Love to do lists - and I'm also heavily reliant upon my agenda (http://runawaymaggiemay.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-agenda.html).

I make so many to-do lists! Glad I'm not the only one!

lol Melissa you forgot to mention the full page to do lists you have on a daily basis just for school!
I will say though, that seeing someone actually using a to do list in everyday life has inspired me to use my own. They help SO much!

love this... definitely a fun peek inside! I need to get more organized again; definitely with blog posts. They're so 'on a whim' right now!

never had a to-do list. i'm more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of girl :)

Alyson, my little planner really helps, especially for organizing blogs posts each week. I get so overwhelmed with ideas sometimes, so it's nice to have a place to plan them out.

HA, Elle, so good to know! :)

I love the idea of story boarding your blog. I tried that for a while, but sometimes when I get too off track, it's hard to get back on!
