Family portraits

There are Awkward Family Photos, and then there are Jessica Todd Harper's hauntingly mesmerizing family portraits. I love how they perfectly capture family life. How cool is the Cheerios box in the third photo? Don't you love how romantic, soft and delicate they are too, friends? Like the impressionist paintings my grandmother used to paint...

P.S. Fun fact: In a November 2010 exhibit, Harper's images were projected on the facades of historic Washington D.C. buildings as part of FotoWeek, a special project by the renowned Corcoran Gallery of Art. Genius! :)

Before I even read what you wrote, I thought 'these photos are gorgeous, but haunting!' - hauntingly mesmerizing perfectly describes them!
