Well, hello, Polo Shirt Season

Well, friends, today is a pretty big day: The beginning of polo shirt season. Can you believe it? It's been Three years of polo shirt fun, and I'm so excited to break out my brightly colored shirts -- and buy a few new ones, of course! Here are a few of my favorites from my collection...
A few years ago, I said, "Imelda Marcos had shoes. I have polo shirts. It just works. I've learned not to question it." That's still true. For me, nothing says "Hello, spring" like like a crisp, clean polo. Are you a fan of polo shirts, friends? What do you most look forward to wearing during breezy spring days? xoxo

P.S. A new Letter To My Future Husband is coming up! :)

  7. I am not quite ready to believe it's really spring, so I've been slowly mixing some spring wear into my wardrobe- a light cardigan here, a flouncy dress there. I'm especially excited to wear these new Franco Sarto wedges I bought!

  10. I know you love your polo shirts as much as you love your Barq's, your Pez dispensers and your Etsy shopping, so I really hope you don't mind a suggestions about your shirts. I remember seeing a picture of you wearing a collarless shirt with a V-shaped neckline. It looked really good on you; it showed off your beautiful red hair; it made your shoulders and posture look more confident and upright; it emphasized your smile and it was just overall a really nice look on you. I am a short woman (shorter than you actually) and I find that the less clutter I have around my neck and hair in the form of collars and scarves, the more I can emphasize my best features; my eyes, my smile and my hair. A nice scoop neck or V-neck sweater or blouse with a simple necklace that draws the eyes up and down rather than across, gives me a much slimmer, smarter, sleeker look than having a collar bunched up around my neck.

  11. Love that preppy look! I like the light blue and the yellow one. I would suggest you to get some on pastel tones (light purple, coral...)as there're coming big this season. Bisous! BTW...Did you guys play lottery on Friday? Any luck?

  13. I have some inspiration for you (not that you asked for it:)

Shirts that have a "polo shirt" feeling but are cut in a more feminine way:

Are the polos you normally buy men's? I say girly it up lady! I think you can do preppy feminine, maybe some earrings? A headband?

    Yay spring!!

  14. I'm not a polo shirt wearer, but I love bright t-shirts. It's fun to wear color; I went through a long phase of mostly black and gray. :(

It's hard to wear yellow. You're lucky because it looks good on you.

  19. Yay for warm weather fashion! I don't usually wear polos, since they remind me so much of my old high school uniform. But I can't wait until summer so that I can wear all my sundresses! :)

  20. if i loved wearing polos, my days in elementary, middle and high school would've been much easier since we had to wear uniforms! my wardrobe staple is definitely v-necks. if you decide to give them a try like anon suggested you'll probably get addicted like me! one of my main complaints about polos is how hot and sticky they make me feel and there's nothing better than a cool, light v-neck in the summer :) thanks for checking out my blog!!
