We've already talked about how old you were when you got married, but in light of Miley Cyrus' engagement last month, I'd love to know: Would you rather get married when you're young or wait until you're older?.
I've always gone back and forth on this one. My parents were married when they were 22, and when I was their age, marriage was the farthest thing from my mind. It wasn't even on my radar, actually. Still, somewhere in the back of my mind, I suppose I always pictured myself getting married before I turned 30 -- is that just an arbitrary number I've picked, or have you done something similar? So when my birthday came and went, I began to wonder if I should be disappointed in missing my self-imposed milestone. On the other hand, my mom's best friend married his wife when they were 35 and will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in September.
So maybe the idea of "perfect age" to get married is an antiquated notion? What do you think, friends? Would you get married when you're younger or when you're older, if you had the choice? xoxo
