Imagine this, friends: You're in the woods and you come across a fork in the road. You find out that one path will let you see what your future holds while the other path was just the normal path of life, where you take life as it comes and aren't treated to movie-style previews of your future. Quick...which path would you take?
I'm actually torn on this one. On the one hand, it would sort of be comforting to know what's coming my way -- that is, unless I see things like the death of a family member, the loss of a job or world disasters. But on the other hand, there is a certain element of surprise that comes with not knowing what the future holds. Maybe some things just shouldn't be seen ahead of time, you know? Because if they were, wouldn't we all be scrambling in the present to take steps to change what we saw in our future? Is there such a thing as messing to much with our own destiny?
What do you think, friends? Which path would you pick? What factors would influence your decision? Do you think you're decision would change over the years and as you get older?
