Guest Post: Romantic vacation ideas

It’s rare these days that you can jet off for a romantic getaway without the kids or work weighing on your mind. When you finally get the chance to get away, you want to ensure it's well spent. Here are some unique romance tips to make that special someone feel relaxed and well taken care of...

Simple Start, Serve Breakfast in Bed
A couple's vacation should start off right with the first meal of the day. Surprise your loved one with his/her favorite items for a perfect relaxing meal in bed. You can both linger over the coffee as you plan very little for the day ahead.

A Couples Massage on the Beach
Enjoy the serene sound of waves crashing at the beachfront while lying next to your honey with a Swedish massage. Any time of the day is the right time as you are on vacation and have all the time in the world for relaxation. Make sure to hydrate before and after this indulgent activity.

Stroll Along the Beach
The sound of the ocean has a calming and romantic effect, so take a stroll along the beach with your love. Hold hands like you did when you started dating and first dreamed of taking some time away together.

Starlight Viewing with Candlelight
Set up a couple of beach towels or beach chairs and surround them with candles. Bring some snacks and bubbly and enjoy the star-lit view. Simple yet sweet, this will bring you and your sweetie closer to the natural wonders of the world.

Horseback Riding
Cliché, maybe, but nothing compares to riding a horse on a beach. Make sure to bring your digital camera (waterproof, if possible) to capture this experience.

Sleep In
Sometimes the most romantic thing to do is nothing at all. Shut off the phones, unplug the computer, hide the remote control for the television and shut out the noisy world. Sleep as late as you’d like to rest up for another day of romance.
With these simple but thoughtful tips, you can make any vacation remarkable whereever you travel. Near or far, it’s the simple pleasures in life that count.
