Thank you, Robin Williams

Like the rest of the world, I was completely heartbroken when I heard about Robin Williams' suicide last night. It was the kind of knot-in-your-stomach feeling that's both unfathomable and hyper real at the same time. We lost such an amazingly brilliant and gentle soul to such a dark disease. I'll be writing more in-depth posts about depression and suicide in the coming days, but I didn't want to let today slip by without acknowledging everything Williams was to a whole generation. You need only scroll through Twitter to see his impact. He was a teacher. He taught us about Neverland. He granted wishes. He was a loving housekeeper. He was a devoted father. He was an unconventional doctor.

Thank you, Mr. Williams, for inspiring an entire generation and bringing so much love and laughter to our lives. You touched lives beyond measure, and for that, we will be forever grateful... xoxo

**You are NEVER alone...there is help out there. Don't be afraid to speak up and seek help if you or someone you know is depressed or suicidal. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

P.S. Robin Williams' best film roles and 25 life lessons we can learn from his characters.

  2. Completely devastating. What a loss of talent, and of such a delightful person. The world won't be the same without him.
